Naturopath Consultations

Personalised support for IBS, SIBO, persistent digestive symptoms and women’s health concerns

MAROOCHYDORE · FOREST GLEN · SUNSHINE COAST · AUSTRALIA-WIDE TELEHEALTH

Many people arrive after trying several diets, supplements or treatment approaches without gaining a clear understanding of why their symptoms continue.

You may have been told that your results are normal, received a diagnosis such as IBS, or found that improvements never seem to last.

A consultation provides time to look at the full sequence of your health history, identify the patterns that appear most relevant and establish a practical place to begin.

My primary clinical focus is digestive health, including IBS, SIBO, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux and food-related symptoms. I also support women experiencing concerns such as PMS, painful or irregular periods, PCOS and perimenopausal changes.

Appointments are available in Maroochydore, at Kunara Marketplace in Forest Glen and by telehealth throughout Australia.

What happens during your initial consultation

Your first consultation is an in-depth review of your current symptoms, health history and treatment priorities.

Your consultation may include:

  • when and how your symptoms began

  • bowel habits, digestion and food reactions

  • previous illness, infections or antibiotic use

  • current medications and supplements

  • sleep, stress and nervous system influences

  • menstrual and hormonal patterns where relevant

  • previous blood tests, investigations and diagnoses

  • what you have already tried and how your body responded

The order in which symptoms developed often matters.

A digestive problem that began after gastroenteritis may need to be considered differently from symptoms that developed gradually during prolonged stress, after repeated antibiotic use or alongside a change in menstrual health.

The purpose is not to find an elaborate explanation for every symptom. It is to determine what appears clinically relevant and where treatment is most likely to be useful.

Why Work With Me?

Digestive health focus

My main area of clinical interest is persistent digestive symptoms, particularly IBS, SIBO, bloating, reflux and altered bowel habits.

This allows us to look beyond generic advice and consider the sequence, patterns and influences within your presentation.

Evidence-informed clinical reasoning

I draw on current evidence, naturopathic clinical assessment and the information contained in your individual history.

Not every symptom requires another diagnosis. Not every patient requires testing. Not every abnormal result is clinically important.

The value lies in deciding what information is most likely to change treatment.

Individualised, practical care

Recommendations are tailored to your health history, symptoms, goals and capacity.

You will not be expected to change everything at once. Treatment is prioritised so the most important steps are clear.

Consultation Options

Initial Consultation | 75 minutes

For new patients requiring a detailed assessment of their symptoms, history, previous investigations and treatment priorities.

Follow Up Consultation | 45 minutes

For reviewing progress, discussing your response to treatment and adjusting recommendations as your presentation changes.

Treatment should not continue unchanged simply because it was part of the original plan.

Brief Review | Up to 30 minutes

Available for existing patients where a shorter appointment is clinically appropriate, such as a focused pathology review, prescription adjustment or brief progress review.

Functional testing

Functional testing may be considered when it is likely to clarify the presentation or meaningfully influence treatment.

Depending on your symptoms and history, this may include SIBO breath testing or comprehensive stool analysis.

Testing is not automatically required. In many cases, a careful clinical assessment provides enough information to begin with a focused initial plan.

Where testing is being considered, its likely value, limitations and cost will be discussed with you first.

I do not recommend a test simply because it is available.

  • you want a detailed, structured assessment

  • you value testing being recommended selectively

  • you are prepared to work through treatment in stages rather than look for a single quick fix
